PATRICK ⁄ ANDERSON
Have recently discovered that my ggfather was Marion Howard Patrick, born New Boston, Mercer Co., Il, approx 1871. He married Jessie St. Clair Anderson from Chicago, and in 1895 my gmother Mary Emma Patrick was born in Rockford, IL. Her birth cert gave me Marion Patrick's name and I am just starting my search for more info on him. The birth certificate says he was a druggist in Rockford, but I have zero info on him and his life. I do not know if my ggmother Jessie was divorced or widowed of Marion Patrick, but she lived alone in Los Angeles when she died in 1954 and had been alone, except for my gmother, for at least 25 years. If he rings a bill with anyone, I would appreciate an email and will happily trade info on the family after my gmother's birth.

CONDON ⁄ JARVIS ⁄ NEWTON
My great-grandfather was William CONDON. I have discovered records of two or three individuals (they may all be the same man) who may be my Wiliam CONDON. According to an 1885 family Bible entry, he was born in Ohio on January 1, 1822. The next information I have is when he enlisted in the Union Army in Iowa in 1863. He was discharged from the Army at Prairie de Chein, Minnesota in 1865. He returned to the Mercer County area of Illinois, where he married Harriet Miranda (JARVIS) NEWTON (she was previously married) on July 14, 1874. My grandfather, David Franklin CONDON was born in Moline on October 7, 1875.
I have information that he may actually have been born in Pennsylvania on January 1, 1823. That he may have had at least one previous family, ie, marrying Hannah PERRY in Tuscarawas County, Ohio in 1846, and⁄or Sarah J. HATCHER in Iowa in 1855. His father, if born in Pennsylvania, would have been Isaac CONDON and his mother was Hulda (PACKER) CONDON. There has been a persistent family myth of a lost half-brother of my grandfather. My grandfather spent a lot of energy trying to find him in his advancing years, but to no avail. Does any of this perhaps ring a bell? Thank you for any information or light you might shed on this. PEARSLE ⁄ PEARCELEY ⁄ PEARSLEY
- My great-grandparents were somewhere in Illinois in 1870. My g-grandfather was John Pearceley (b. Scotland 1840). (The name is spelled "Pearceley" or "Pearsley.") There is a rumor that he had a brother, William, living south of Moline around Sherrard. John appears on the 1880 census in Johnson County, NE. and my grandfather, Adolphus Orison or Arthur O., was born in 1872 in Johnson Co., but his sister, Martha, is listed on that same 1880 census as age 10 having been born in Illinois (no county given). My g-grandmother's name was Susan. I know nothing more about her as she died shortly after her son, my grandfather, was born in NE. I would be grateful to anyone who could help me find out more about either g-grandparent: an 1860⁄70 census, a marriage index, or the birth of Martha PEARCELEY.
