GEORGE T. HONEYMAN New Boston - George Thane Honeyman, 92, of New Boston, died Saturday, September 28, 1996, in Mercer County Hospital, Aledo. Services were at Jinks Family Funeral Services Wednesday, October 2, 1996, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Charles Reynolds of the First Christian Church, Keithsburg. Burial was in the New Boston Cemetery. He was born January 14, 1904 in Baxter Springs, Kansas, the son of Earl and Cora Finch Honeyman. He married Ella E. Welch April 7, 1928 in Keithsburg. She died May 21, 1993. Mr. Honeyman farmed in the New Boston Bay area all of his life. He was past Director of Bay Island Drainage District in New Boston and former member of the Boston Bay Conservation Club. He loved, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. Pallbearers were Ira Adams, Jim Willits, Steve Mulllfinger, Harlan Honeyman, Bruce Honeyman, and Glenn Diehl.
