MRS. KELLOGG DIES AT NEW BOSTON AT 85; RITES SATURDAY New Boston - Mrs. Mary Kellogg, 85, died at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leota WELCH, here. She had been ill some time. Born April 3, 1859, in Fairfield, Iowa, Mrs. Kellogg was the former Miss Mary Collins, daughter of William and Susan Turner Collins. When she was about seven years old, she was adopted by a family in New Boston, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Scudder, and was reared and educated here. On May 15, 1884, she was married to William Kellogg. Both were members of the Spiritualist faith. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Welch of New Boston and Mrs. Helen Dixon, Rock Island; two grandsons; four great-grand daughters and a great-grandson. Her husband died Aug. 22, 1936. Funeral services will be tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Olin chapel, New Boston. Burial will be in New Boston cemetery.
